I like seeing brands that fuse eco-consciousness with fashion, the ones who bridge the gap between an ethical production process and great design. Then I discovered Singapore-based Cosset, a luxury basics brand made with sustainable bamboo fabric.
Founded by Sarah Tan, Cosset was able to produce a range of basic tees, skirts, dresses and underwear that pretty much drape your body like “second skin.” This is because bamboo is an incredibly soft and breathable material, that a lot of people compare to cashmere or silk because of it’s extreme comfort and coziness. It’s also very durable and can withstand multiple washes without affecting it’s quality.
On the production side, bamboo grows incredibly fast, with little or no pesticides or herbicides, making this renewable resource a perfect choice for Cosset. I like how finding a sustainable resource also translates to it having a longer life span in your closet. 🙂
