Bibo, a French fine dining restaurant located in Sheung Wan, brings back memories of me stalking Wooster Collective at 3 am. The restaurant is filled with notable artists that I’ve watched/interviewed throughout the past few years: Shepard Fairey, JR, Banksy, Kaws….
When I was still working for a magazine, I remember trying to know as much as I could about these artists and their lifestyles- so that as a writer, I would understand how to ask better questions.
Also coming from Manila, there were a lot of ideas that were truly different from my own mainly because the environment I grew up in was quite different.
Learning about artists widened my perspective at such a young age. I wanted to understand their ideas… their mentalities.
I wanted to see the world with their eyes to better understand the work they made.
It was so nice to see the work of many of these artists all in one place…
