Listen: DJ Euric Indie Mix 2

Coverart.png

Back in 2011, I was on the cover of my friend, DJ Euric’s mixtape. Back when we were all pretty much just having fun– not exactly “starting” our careers but just coasting for a bit and hanging out in Manila.

I remember I shot a series of photos with my friend Revo Naval at our (then) family- onwned store called Trilogy Boutique (It was in Legaspi Village back when there were no stores outside of the malls yet.)

Anyway, Euric was working on a ton of mixes and I passed him some stuff if ever he wanted to use it. And here it is 🙂

Download the mix here.

Last year, when Rosario and I went to Japan, we saw this exhibit by Randy Bruiser by HUF. We were literally walking down the looking for something else but something pulled me into this store. (My intuition? Maybe.) Anyway, great stuff.

More photos after the jump.

Photos: Erykah Badu Vs. Everythang

Sometimes I feel like we’re so damn thirsty excited for anything that makes it to our Manila shores. I mean. We’ve been waiting for Erykah Badu for 20 years! Thank you Lord I finally got to see her in my lifetime.

Music does trigger a memory. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. But still it’s our memories. A musical weave of our life experiences. The soundtrack we choose is the feelings we encode.

Shoutout to all my friends I also ran into. I grew up with you and watching her together made it feel even more sentimental.
