I just posted the trailer for DJ AM’s documentary “As I Am,” a few posts below. My curiosity on the background of this documentary led me to an interview with the director. I really liked this interview and the sensitivity of his approach during the making of this film.
I was also moved by the vulnerability of the director as he spoke about his friends that he also lost to drugs, and his hope that this film would also help people going through battles with their own demons. I think it’s really important for people to show their human side in anything. Whether they are famous or not, but to reveal and uncover the layers underneath the story.
