Meet: Sheena Vera Cruz, Professional Dancer, Choreographer & Artist Development Coach
Sheena Vera Cruz lives through movement. Whether it’s jet-setting from one country to the next, or expressing herself through dance, this free-spirited gypsy never stays still. Sheena has been a professional dancer, host, choreographer and artist for years, and now brings this experience to the next chapter of her career as a mentor & coach.
This year, she was one of the international judges for reality dance show Astro Battleground, which had her shuffling between shooting in Malaysia and pioneering her Sexy Heels Fitness Workshop in the Philippines. As this interview is about to be posted, Sheena is getting ready to fly once more for more teaching and training in NYC and Japan.
I admire Sheena’s determination to keep improving herself, and her desire to turn her art into a service. Get to know a very bubbly, energetic, and intelligent woman who moves to the rhythm of her own beat. Meet Sheena.

Throwback Thursday.
I decided to do a little throwback post to my trip to New York last September 2012. Today I was looking through these photos while I was cleaning out my laptop and I remembered how fun the whole week was. I was sent there by Runway TV Asia to do cover the shows at NY Fashion Week. It was a whole week of non-stop interviews and filming, and the experience was so amazing 🙂

Meet: Manuela Basilio, Model
When a girl grows in her career, she either takes her success to her head, or to her heart. Manuela Basilio does the latter. As a fashion model, she holds a towering presence. Her strong, Filipina features and long, lean figure may rather intimidate the observer. But once you hear her speak, you are easily disarmed.
Manuela in reality, is a bright and joyful person. Her kindness radiates beyond her words, and when it’s your turn to speak, she listens with intent and understanding. It’s no wonder why she’s a favorite to work with among the creatives in the fashion industry.
And now you get to know her better. I’d like to you to meet our CalCarrie darling, currently represented by Wilhelmina Models in NY and LA, the always shining, always smiling, Manuela.
