Reflect: Coming Full Circle

“Coming Full Circle” has been a predominant theme in my life lately. I think it’s very important to go back to where you first began, mainly to see how much you’ve grown since them. It’s sort of like a benchmark to compare the You now vs. the You then.

Singapore is one of those benchmark cities for me. It was the first city I moved to from Manila 3 and a half years ago. It’s the first time I really felt personal growth. It’s even where I started this blog. (Scrolling back, I can see how much has changed.)

It’s nice to come full circle and see people from your past and reminisce. But apart from looking back, it was also a good opportunity to make new memories. Just because you’ve come full circle doesn’t mean you fall back into old ways.

It’s more of closing one chapter- with the peace, presence, and perspective you’ve acquired along the way. It’s coming back to a place you once knew, and seeing how you both (yes, you and the city) have evolved.

We’re doing good Singapore. Thanks for the new memories.

Currently recovering from a week of being sick. I wanted to blog but I couldn’t think straight, so I spent the last few nights sipping on ginger tea with honey and trolling YouTube. Every now and then, my mind does need a break.

In the midst of it all, my roommates and I are packing up the house. I’ve been selling furniture, and trying to ship all our other things out. By next week, I will be out of this apartment, and a week after that, I’ll be out of Singapore. It’s an end of a phase…a cycle… an era.
